2013 Frostbite Time Trial

The 2013 racing season (unofficially) kicked off with a time trial up in Northern Colorado. We were just off of Highway I-25 out in the middle of nowhere. The race start and finish was about 10-15 miles south of the Wyoming/Colorado border.

The race was 11.5 miles of rolling hills and straight road. It ended up being fairly windy and it is still chilly in Colorado because it is early March.

I would say that I performed well, but not outstanding. It was great to see a fellow Professional Ironman Triathlete there: Julie Dibens. She is an incredible biker and a VERY accomplished athlete. Needless to say, she beat me, but it was great to see where I compare with one of the best bikers on the Ironman scene.

So even though the race was just an average one, and it was just a fun race, I am happy I did it. These fun races that anyone can join and participate in remind me of my love for the sport and competition in general. I can’t wait for the upcoming season and all of the fun races I get to do!

Thank you so much for your support and the support of my sponsors, I couldn’t do it without you!

Here is a dorky video that Jeff and I put together of my race!

At the start line waiting for my turn to hammer on the bike!

However, it wasn’t until she turned sixteen did she really start training strictly for triathlons. Through various paths God has lead her through the years including Xterra’s and Adventure Racing she discovered her ultimate love, long course triathlons, especially Ironman’s!
