Ironman Texas Withdraw

Ironman / Uncategorized

With great anguish, I withdrew my name from the start list of Ironman Texas this morning. Over the weekend, I came down with a severe cold and tried several remedies but after a doctor’s visit it became very clear that I would not be performing to the best of my capabilities in five short days.

This is extremely frustrating because I have had an extremely solid 13-week build up specifically for Ironman Texas, which I was viewing as one of my “A” races of the year.  With every situation you can either dwell on the negatives or search for the positives. I am a true believer that God has a plan for everything and I am placing my faith in him to hopefully make it clear to me why I was not suppose to race Ironman Texas.  I will heal up quickly and move forward to my next race! I am so sorry to all my Sponsors, Family and Fans for not making it to the starting line. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support!
