PBE: Pro Bike Express [Sponsor Announcement]

Ironman / Ironman 70.3 / Sponsor Announcement / Uncategorized

Ironman and Ironman 70.3 racing generally requires some form of travel; it is rare that you are lucky enough to race in a nearby city. Usually, you will have to jump state-lines, [sometimes] travel across the country or even travel to a different continent! Traveling is one of the perks of our sport, but traveling with a bike and the additional gear required to participate is anything but enjoyable. I absolutely dread taking my bike apart before a big race, stuffing it in a bike bag and praying that TSA does not [unintentionally] damage my bike, and that it will arrive before the race. Once it does arrive you then have to put it back together perfectly so that you will have a successful race. This process takes a lot of time, energy, and stress.

Traveling with Pro Bike Express is an absolute delight! You are treated like royalty. If you live in Colorado you either meet at Wheat Ridge Cyclery or Colorado Multisport in Boulder. You will roll your bike completely assembled onto the trailer with your gear bag a few days before the race. Then, as you are flying to your destination your bike is being driven to the race site, a day or two later you arrive at the race site, pick up your bike and gear bag, and you are ready to race. After the race, when you are tired and you really do not want to deal with packing a bike it is extremely evident…you made the right choice! You can also, get a smaller rental car because you will not need to transport a bike box. So much easier and cheaper in the long run.

The best part is Wesley, the owner of Pro Bike Express, he wants to make everyone super happy and will take fantastic care of you and your bike the entire trip! I highly recommend this service to anyone living in Colorado or Utah!
